FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK

Dear PJP Family and Friends,

Welcome! We would like to thank you for your interest in Pope John Paul II Catholic High School.  PJP has been home to Catholic Education for over 30 years and it is our hope that we can continue to provide a quality education through our mission of Academic Excellence, Faith Development and LeadershipIf we take a moment to think about our ministry and the many opportunities we offer our students, it is clear to see the belief and commitment to Catholic education is very much alive within our community.

Many wonderful events have taken place and many commendations are in order for the students of PJP; indeed, we are proud of their growth and their commitment to excellence in so many ways.  We are proud to point not only to recent highlights but to future advancement in the coming years:

  • ACT scores consistently above the national and state averages
  • PJP boys and girls capture 2011 2A Powerlifting State Championship
  • Faculty, staff and students shift from Lenovo laptops to Apple's new iPad 2
  • New Rosary Garden to foster Faith Development
  • PJP's "facelift" complete with a new paint job and brand new signage
  • Senior Tyler Dutruch named "Fans Choice" at 2011 Rudy Awards
  • PJP's shift to the President-Principal model includes the restructuring of a school board through consultation with the Archdiocese
  • Adoption of an Enrollment Management and Advancement Plan to focus on the increase of school enrollment and further advancement of PJP

PJP is on the move! We are able to accomplish so much of this because of the support and belief of our community which consists of parents, alumni, faculty and staff, parents of alum and faces in the community that believe in Catholic education.  We ask you that you prayerfully consider giving your child the gift of a quality Catholic education from PJP; an investment indeed, but one that will last your child for a lifetime.

On behalf of the PJP Faith Community, thank you for all that you do in support of our mission and may God continue to bless you and your families in this very special time of the year.

Sincerely,

Richard P. Berkowitz

President
