Athletics

This will be Mr. Dieudonne’ s eigth year serving as Athletic Director of Pope John Paul II High School.  Mr. Dieudonne’ is a PJP II graduate Class of 2000 and has also served as an assistant baseball coach at PJP from 2001-2006 and 2021 & 2022.  Mr. Dieudonne’ is happily married to Ashleigh Posner Dieudonne’, Class of 2002, who serves as the Admissions Director at PJP. They have been married for 18 years, and together they have two children, Richard “Trey” Dieudonne’ III age 16 and Bentley Dieudonne’ age 13.  Trey is in the 11th grade at PJP and Bentley will be attending 7th grade at Our Lady of Lourdes. Bentley will be serving his 5th year as ball boy for the Jaguars.

 Upon returning to PJP II in 2017, Mr. Dieudonne’ previously served as Athletic Director at Kehoe-France Northshore School from 2006-2017 and one year as an assistant baseball coach at Archbishop Hannan High in Covington.  Mr. Dieudonne’ attended the University of New Orleans and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education.  

 “My heart has always been close to St. John Paul II “The Great” and to this school.  I firmly believe that my four years here as a student and six years as a coach has helped mold me to become the man that I am today.  In 2006, I left PJP for twelve years for an employment opportunity for my family, but truly felt that I was called back to serve PJPII for a greater cause.  I am committed to the future of this school and to its students.  It has been truly awesome to see the success of our athletic programs over the last 5 years.  I am looking forward to this season and the future of all of our programs.  It is truly a blessing to work for a school named after such a great man, and I hope to continue to be a part of St. John Paul II the Great’s legacy for years to come”.
