Foreign Languages

French I

This introductory course covers basic conversation, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translating skills are emphasized. Students will also learn about French culture in the Francophone world. 

French II

Although this course begins with a review of French I, the purpose of French II is to expand the student’s knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. Additionally, students will read literature and continue the study of culture. Prerequisite: French I.

French III H

This course will continue the studies begun in French I and II, reviewing the many skills already developed and delving more deeply into the study French countries and cultures through literature, films, music and art. Emphasis will be on conversational skills, and vocabulary and advanced grammar. Prerequisite: French II.

French IV H

This course continues the studies begun in French III H. Prerequisite: French III.

Spanish I

This introductory course covers basic conversation, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translating skills are emphasized. Students will also learn about culture in the Spanish-speaking world. 

Spanish II

Although this course begins with a review of Spanish I, the purpose of Spanish  II is to expand the student’s knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. Additionally, students will read literature and continue the study of culture. Prerequisite: Spanish I.

Spanish III H

This course will continue the studies begun in Spanish I and II, reviewing the many skills already developed and delving more deeply into the study French countries and cultures through literature, films, music and art. Emphasis will be on conversational skills, and vocabulary and advanced grammar. Prerequisite: Spanish II. 

Spanish IV H

This course continues the studies begun in Spanish III H. Prerequisite: Spanish III. 

Russian I
