Junior, Sarah Homburg, was accepted into Vanderbilt's summer program and will be there from June 26 - July 2nd studying "Rhetorical Advocacy and Criticism."
Daughter of Mark '92 & Jamie '95 Homburg, Sarah is currently President of PJP's Catholic Relief Services club, and participates in: Catholic Athletes for Christ, Global Jags, Art, Math, and History clubs. She is a Student Ambassador, member of the National Honor Society and our H.O.S.A. program here at PJP. She is an integral part of our Lady Jags' soccer team and wishes to one day study pre-med in hopes of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. A rising senior in 2023 and member of our 30+ Club, she enjoys the "family environment among teachers and peers" that PJP offers her and extended the following to all underclassmen: "Truly embrace your time in high school. Reach out to your teachers and mentors and GET INVOLVED."
Vanderbilt's mission in offering these summer programs is to develop even more talent in gifted students like Sarah. Motivated young learners such as Homburg are offered the chance of a residential experience in a university setting while still in their formative schooling. We are so proud of Sarah for taking advantage of this academic opportunity and wish her all our best wishes in her studies!
